MY LOVE FROM THE STAR
is a romantic-fiction drama from South Korea. This drama is directed by Jang
Tae-yoo and acted by the most popular Korean actor 2014, Kim Soo Hyun and actress
Jun Ji Hyun. This is the story about Do Min Joon (acted by Kim Soo Hyun), an
alien from another planet that place billions kilometres from the earth, landed
on the earth in the Joseon Dinasty. He was leaved by his UFO because he saved a
teen girl named Yi Hwa. Finally, he must stay on the earth until the next comet
that bring him to his planet comeback to cross earth again. This comet would
take 400 years to rotate its orbit and fall to the earth. He always protect Yi
Hwa until she die.
400 years later, when
the comet almost come to fall into the earth, Do Min Joon meet a most popular
korean actress named Cheon Song Yi
(acted by Jun Ji Hyun) who is his neighbour and his college student in
modern era. Until finally, he fall in love with Cheon Song Yi at the final
moment he must comeback to his planet. And for the first time, since hundreds
years he understand about an abstrack things called love that always make the
earth’s human crazy. Because in his planet, they never know about love.
I very like this film. This
is the best korean drama I’ve ever seen. I like this film because it introduce
each of character by taking unique point of view, for example character of a
cold alien named Do Min Joon, proud and arrogant actress named Cheon Song Yi, a
kind and loveful man named Lee Hwi Kyung and the antagonist character who a
psichopat named Lee Jae Kyung as Lee Hwi Kyung’s brother. Each of the character
can make the audience can feel the joy of this film and make us laugh. Beside that,
this film is full of the conflict and filled by impressive scene that supported
by that antagonist character. This character will make us furious and carried
by each state. From the dozens Korean drama taht I’ve ever seen, I think this
film is the most interesting. I can’t let it through although only one scene. The
plot is very interesting and make us curious. The fiction and unique story
always make us curious.
This film is very good.
But the weakness of this film is we can’t understand the dialogue because it
use korean languange, so we must have a tranlator or subtitle so we can
understand the meaning of it. If we watch it with a dubbing, we can’t feel the
full expression and the suitable between mouth and the voice. And I think it
occur to all of the film from the foreign country. And this film is worth to be
watched because it is veri interesting. Not wrong if this film be the best
Korean Film 2014 in the most Asian country. Not only in South Korea, but in
Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, China and Japan. This film
get many rewards and many appreciation in 2014 as the best Korean film 2014. Its
actor, Kim Soo Hyun, get the appreciation as the best Korean actor 2014.
So, the summarize, this film is very good and this film is
recommended to watch.
